Dear Chiefs - there will be a vote by electronic ballot for the Western and Eastern Regions - the Prairie Region seat was decided by acclamation (details below).

The poll will open at 8:00am (Pacific Standard Time) on June 6, 2022, and will close at 6:00pm (Pacific Standard Time) on June 13, 2022.

The list of voters and other pertinent information for the Western Region is posted on this public page.

On June 5, 2022, each voter will receive ballot instructions from our electronic service provider. This will include a link and instructions on how to vote electronically.

For the Western Region the Candidates for election are (1 seat to be elected)
Candidate: Chief Willie Sellars, Williams Lake First Nation
Nominator: Williams Lake First Nation

Candidate: Chief Gordon Planes, T'Sou-ke First Nation
Nominator: T'Sou-ke First Nation

Prairie Region Candidate is elected by Acclamation
Elected: Frank Royal, Whitecap Dakota First Nation
His term will begin at the end of the 2022 Annual General Meeting and expire at the end of the 2025 Annual General meeting.

For the Eastern Region the Candidates for election are (1 seat to be elected)
Candidate: Chief Kelly LaRocca, Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation
Nominator: Chippewas of Georgina Island

Candidate: Nancy Cada, Sheshegwaning First Nation>
Nominator: Sheshegwaning First Nation
