Chiefs of Ontario - All Ontario Chiefs Conference 2021 

The Chiefs of Ontario 2021 All Ontario Chiefs Conference (AOCC) is being hosted by Grand Council Treaty #3 and will take place virtually June 15-17, 2021 with the theme “Healing for Generations to Come.” The election of the Regional Chief will take place during this virtual gathering, with votes casted online on June 16, 2021. The following breakdown provides information leading up to and during the election.  

Please note: Early registration to the AOCC will assist in carrying out the electoral process.

Nomination: 

Nominations are open until June 15, 2021. The nominations for Ontario Regional Chief will occur during an online circle. To be nominated, the Candidate(s) must be a citizen of a First Nation community within the Ontario Region. All nominations require a mover and seconder; and the nominator and seconder must be a Chief or a Proxy from a First Nation community within the Ontario Region. In addition to this, Candidate(s) nominated must have been presented with Tobacco in advance. For more information, please refer to the Conference Booklet attached and located on https://www.chiefsmeeting.com/aocc-2021.

Key Dates: 

●    Tuesday, June 15, 2021 – Nominations
Nominations are open until June 15, 2021. 

●    Wednesday, June 16, 2021 – Candidate(s) Speaking Opportunity
Candidates for Regional Chief will have the opportunity to make statements during the virtual All Ontario Chiefs Conference.

●    Wednesday, June 16, 2021 – Regional Chief Election
Election for the Office of the Ontario Regional Chief during the virtual Chiefs of Ontario All Ontario Chiefs Conference.
