Candidate Biographies: Kimberly Fisher is a proud Anishinabe-Kwe from Deshkan Ziibiing, also known as Chippewas of the Thames First Nation. Kimberly, whose spirit name is Mime-Guas (Butterfly, the one that flies and is the connection between sky and the earth), belongs to the Migzi (Eagle Clan).

She currently serves as the Health Director at the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Health Centre. Her journey in health services spans over 22 years, including six years as an administrative assistant and 16 years as the Health Director. Kimberly’s educational background in Health Services Management and Business Administration, and as a Certified First Nations Health Manager, Kimberly is deeply committed and passionate to advocate for wholistic and culturally appropriate health and wellness services to her community and all First Nation’s people across Turtle Island.

As an active FNHMA board member representing Ontario over the past year, she had the please of working and collaborating with other board members to advocate for all First Nation’s people.

Kimberly is nominated and is seeking your vote. If elected as the Ontario Representative she is prepared to devote time an energy to promote the best interests of First Nations Health Managers Association for the next two years.

Sonia Isaac-Mann I am from Listuguj Mi'gmaq First Nation in Quebec. I hold a Master of Science degree in Medical Sciences – Public Health Sciences with a focus on Population Health from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta. I also hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bishop's University.

I have worked in First Nations health for over 20 years and have extensive community, regional and national experience. I have built capacity to impact health systems directed toward system innovation and transformation, health promotion, research and data, prevention, intervention, health education, advocacy, policy, program design, implementation and evaluation. I advocate for culturally appropriate health policies that lead to better programs and health service delivery for First Nations.

Before joining the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA) in 2023 as the CEO & President, I served as the Vice President of Community Health and Wellness, Programs and Services at the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) in British Columbia (BC) for 8 years and worked with the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) in Ottawa for over 10 years in several roles, including the Associate Director of Health.

I also have experience with numerous boards and committees, including the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC), the Canadian Institute for Health Research (CIHR), Canadian Northern and Remote Health Network – Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement (CFHI), Thunderbird Partnership Foundation (formerly the National Native Addictions Partnership Foundation) and the First Nations Health Managers Association (FNHMA).
